Winter is a great time for catching up on those knitting projects, handspinning, and hot cocoa...
It is also a time when the sheep do not mind their wooly coats.
With the snow on the ground, the sheep are no longer grazing, and have free choice hay. Unfortunately, the Romney ewes tend to make such a mess of their wooly coats and always have a wild look about them. We call them our wildebeast.
Breeding season is over, and the rams are back to their old selves again.
The cold and snow does not sway the Border Collies from wanting to be out helping with the winter chores (I honestly think they believe, they couldn't be done without them)
These photos were taken just after a heavy snowfall. The sheep are fine :) We always get some concern that they are not tucked away in the barn.
Good-bye Fall, Hello Winter!
