We are enjoying Fall on the farm!
Beautiful colors and beautiful weather this year...
The lambs will be moved from the pasture as it is that time of year, for the Rams to be put out with the ewes.
I need to find a place to put the lambs, where they will not make such messes of their fleeces....sigh...
I was just telling Mike how much easier it was with one Ram-put the marking harness on and let him loose in the pasture. Now we have to separate the different ewes into groups, and find places to put the different groups so the rams cannot get to each other.
I hope everyone is enjoying the Fall season.
We have another beautiful week of warm weather ahead,
to look forward to!

I have a great idea for you. Maybe they could be 'house lambs' instead of dogs:) I'm certain they would love it. A real question though, if you wash them before shearing, does that help or hinder?
ReplyDelete:) I don't think they would care to be house lambs...but there fleeces would stay cleaner!
DeleteWe have never washed the sheep before shearing. They come in from pasture and get sheared.
The only exception would be fair lambs that get slick shorn, We do wash them before they get clipped for show. :)
I always love to see photos of your girls, naughty or not. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderfully sheep-y week!
p.s. Our leaves are in their peak of color, and it's glorious.
They look happy to me!
ReplyDeleteHave fun doing the sheep shuffle, Sandra! The colors there are beautiful.

Those sheep are exquisite! How exciting it must be to raise such gorgeous animals. Your fall scenery looks lovely. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteBeautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteI assume you can't put the rams together because they would fight over the females? Great pictures of your ewes - I really love the mocha color on the third ewe - gorgeous! Our leaves have changed color also and the nights are starting to get cold. Love it! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, the rams fight. Unfortunately....
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
Always fun to see the wonderful colors of your sheep! We hardly have anybody raising sheep in our area! The weather has been great for enjoying the fall colors!
