One of the things I love about living in Michigan is that you don't have to travel out of state or break the bank to enjoy a family vacation.
We try to get up to the U.P. (upper peninsula) at least once a year...my favorite getaway place.
This was our first trip with our new (old) camper. We have been working on it all year, getting it ready for the camping season.

| Lake Michigan It was in the 50's the first two days we were there. By the end of the week it had made it up to a whopping 70 degrees, and in the U.P. that is warm enough to swim! It takes a lot of prep to leave the farm and make the trip, but it is always well worth it! Now, back to work.... |
Brrr. I'm a wimp when it comes to being cold. It sure is beautiful though. Glad you got a break:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice vacation! I've seen lighthouses but never toured one so that sounds like fun. The water looks wonderful, and I love, love your camper. We want a camper to fix up, also. Hoping to find one in the fall when the prices are cheaper. Glad you were able to make arrangements for the farm and get away for a bit.

The camper has been a project, we were lucky to find one that was original, but it did need work. It has been worth it, I loved camping in it!
DeleteI have yet to get to the U.P. Love the camper! We may trade our pop-up for a hard sided one down the road. You are right though, so many things to enjoy in MI.
