Learn By Doing

I pledge my head to clearer thinking,

my heart to greater loyalty,

my hands to larger service, and

my health to better living,

for my club, my community, my country and my world.

We survived the 2014 Fair year!

Hard to believe it has come and gone. The girls spend most of the year anticipating, planning, and working on projects for the upcoming fair year.

I did a terrible job of taking pictures. It happens! First year, tons of pictures, 14th year...Well, I have turned into a slacker.

All cleaned up and ready for the show. They were the only red heads in the Sheep Barn.

Not a lot of Rams at the Fair, but she was still thrilled to get Supreme Grand Champion Ram. When he was in the show ring, we were told that he looked like he was there to win, and second place was not an option. He was quite a handful, but he behaved pretty well through the week.

Yes, this is Delilah. She almost got left home, because she is such a brat!! Her age has not improved her disposition. She made us drag her around the fairgrounds kicking and screaming. Even though she bought home a trophy, it is not in the plan to bring her back again. (the goat not the teenager)

Yes, they have a dog show at Fair. My daughter always gets strange looks when she tells people that she shows dogs at fair. This is probably their last year, since she has graduated and will be away at school next year.  He decided to go out with a bang, and bring home the "Best of Show"

It was a good year for the girls-They had a lot of fun, they worked hard, they bought home some trophies, they had some disappointments, and were a little sleep deprived.  A Typical Fair Week.
