HomeAcre Hop #81

Fair starts next week, so this week, we are busy getting ready . Clipping goats, shearing sheep, trimming hooves, making project posters, printing photographs, and looking through recipe books for the best muffin recipes.

Do you participate in your local Fair? Fun times!

I hope you join us in the Hop this week, sharing your Homesteading, Homemaking, and Homeschooling post.

  1. Thank you for featuring the lavender infused medicinal oil! Tis an honor :)

    1. Your welcome! Thanks for sharing at the Hop :)

  2. Our fair is going on right now. As a teen I entered photography every year and won a few ribbons. As an adult, jewelry. I have not entered in years, on account of my other work. This year we won't even be going to it, we are that busy.

    1. Our girls keep us involved, they love 4-H and the Fair.

  3. Wow you are going to have so much fun. As you know I do participate in our local fairs I think it is important for the ones visiting and wondering about farm life and it supports the fairboard and in my case the village economy.
Oh I cannot wait to see your entries and your Blue First place ribbons which is funny because here in Canada we strive for a Red first place one:) It does not matter if we win or not it is important for our traditions to continue. Have fun. HUG B

    1. You are right, we do always enjoy it. It is just busy!
      The girls love it!!
Thanks for the best wishes :)
As for winning, I feel the same way-of course you like to do well, but I tell my girls as long as they do their best, its all good.

  4. How well I know where you are at right now. Our whole year was practically fair focused. I always took the whole week off work and we spent every day and night at the fair. It was a huge part of our lives. All the good and the not so good - still worth it. Get some sleep though - very important.

    1. :) The girls can't wait!! I am excited too, but I usually end the week, exhausted!

Thank you for stopping by the farm!

We appreciate your comments!
