Pasture Happenings

The weather has been close to perfect this week. I have enjoyed some pasture walks, even though, they are not as quiet as they use to be. I have a few ewes that like to follow me around, not because they enjoy my company but because they think I may just have some grain in my pocket. After they realize I have no treats, they lose interest pretty quick.

I have been waiting for a good lamb race, but have not seen one! I have never had such a quiet  group of lambs. They are perfectly content with just moseying around the pasture. BORING! (ha ha)

I did find this guy hiding, hoping not to be seen. I wanted  to get close enough to get a good shot from the front, but he was not having it, I got this shot instead....

Do you think he was trying to tell me something?

  1. Sandra, you have some beautiful sheep. If we didn't have to shear them, we might be tempted to get some again. But, I think we will just have to stick with goats.

And, yes, he is trying to tell you something! What a great shot. You couldn't have gotten that picture on purpose if you had tried for years!

    1. Thanks. I agree, you never know what kind of shots you will get when you head out to the pasture with a camera.

  4. Sandra, first I have to mention that your sheep photos are gorgeous. Before I got goats I contemplated getting sheep (handspinner here), but couldn't pass up milk!

I came by to mention that after you commented on my blog about being interested in solar ovens, I heard from the Sun Oven folks who gave me a discount code to pass on to my blog readers. I don't get anything for it so, if the Sun Oven isn't your top pick, no problem. I did want to let you know about it however!

  5. Love your pasture pictures! They just seem so happy and content. Except for the one who had to stick his tongue out at you!
