Meet Percy

We were not planning on having a new kitty on the farm, but this guy was found hanging around a few nights back.

We are a farm and we do have barns so I guess people think that it is a great place to dump off their unwanted pets!  I wish that people would not drop off their animals to fend for themselves or put the responsibility of taking care of their pets onto someone else!

Okay, off my soapbox....back to the cute kitten...

The girls have named him Percy, he is adorable and sweet and has found a new home.

  1. He is seriously cute and would be hard to resist. I don't understand people who abandon animals.

  3. I do know what you mean. We had a kitten show up, that appeared to have been thrown out a vehicle at our front porch. We were able to get the humane society to take him, but we still have one that adopted us and stayed.

    1. We have had to work with people when we have had puppies or dogs dropped off here. We can't take in any stray dogs.
Thankfully, we have only had two kittens dropped off. We can manage that.

  4. I don't get how people can do such things to sweet animals. Lucky kittens to find you.

  5. Awww...he's so cute! I must admit that I expected to see a new sheep when I scrolled down the page to meet Percy. lol

It really ticks me off when people behave so irresponsibly. It's unfair to the animals and unfair to the poor folks who live in the country and end up adopting these animals out of compassion.

  6. He's very sweet, and I love his name! Fortunately, we haven't experienced any sudden arrivals here but it ticks me off whenever I hear about it.

  7. Hello Percy!! What a cutie. Over the years we've adopted three cats who wandered up and they've been a neat addition to our family. Kudos to you for opening your home to him.

  8. Awww such a cutie! I know what you mean about people dumping animals. Two kittens just appeared on our property this summer out of the blue. But of course I took them in and now Gizmo and Emma have stolen my heart :)
