Today the weather isn't what I would call "cool", but it is not as hot as it has been, so I was talked into making pizza!
One of our favorites is Taco Pizza. I use my favorite crust.
Taco Pizza (2 pizzas)
1 Pound of Hamburger
1 Packet of Taco Seasonings
1 8 oz. jar of Tomato Sauce
16 oz. Shredded Cheese (Taco, Cheddar, or Colby Jack)
Optional Toppings: Diced Tomatoes, Chopped Lettuce, Diced Black Olives, Sour Cream, Taco Sauce.
Preheat Oven to 450 degrees.
Make Dough recipe. Roll out on Pizza Pans.
Brown hamburger add taco seasonings (follow directions on packet)
On pizza dough, spread out the tomato sauce. (You could use more tomato sauce if you like more sauce).
Add taco hamburger mixture and spread out evenly on pizza.
Add shredded cheese and place in preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove pizza from oven and add desired toppings.
Serve!
Enjoy!

This looks great! We love taco pizza around our house!
ReplyDeleteI bet my boys would love this.
ReplyDeleteIt's so interesting to hear different colloquialisms from around the world and blogs are a super place to learn about them. What we call taco pizza here in my neck of the woods is more like a taco dip layered in a pizza pan and eaten with taco chips. Its addictively yummy and I have no doubt your taco pizza is too. :-)
ReplyDeleteHaha, we have that too, but we call it taco dip :)
DeleteHomemade Pizza is a favorite at our house! I had a terrible time finding a pizza crust that I could make and have it consistently turn out. I tried everything. My go-to crust is from The Pioneer Woman.
ReplyDeleteI like to make pizza pockets. The Hubby can have his 3 meats and lots of cheese and I can load up on sausage and veggies. I discovered I really like thin crust, it has a cracker like flavor and a crunch I love!
The Pioneer Woman makes a breakfast pizza that is delicious. You make a well in the meat and crack a whole egg to bake in the well. It got me a funny look, until the Hubby tasted it.
We are both Taco pizza fans too.
Breakfast Pizza sounds great! I haven't tried that. :)
DeleteOh, my! This sounds yummy!! I found your blog through Tracy's link-up!! So happy to "meet" you. :)
